Is there a personal injury crisis?

Interest groups work hard to convince us of that, but all big studies prove that there is no lawsuit crisis. In fact, most people who are injured because of negligence or a dangerous product never even stand up for their rights. Less than three percent of all lawsuits filed in the United States are personal injury lawsuits. A recent study determined that the playing field in Texas favors the insurance company over a hurt person more than in any other state. If your injury is the fault of someone else, don't let an insurance company or a large, corporation scare you. If you're on a jury, award what is fair based on the evidence. Don't be fooled by half-truths or advertisements meant to prejudice you.
